Is it possible to set the thermostat in the CP restaurant so we do not have to eat with coats/jackets on? I've heard others ask the wait staff to adjust it so I am sure I am not the only one. Thank you

I'm sure they will gladly try to accommodate anyone with this type of issue. I know when I went it was really nice...especially since it was 109 outside.

They are closed, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day!.. I believe they may close early, on the eve's of, both days!☺ Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!🍗🎄

Our family went during a slow period, between 1:30 and 2:30. A bored hostess barely aknowleged our arrival. Finally she sat us after almost 15 minutes. Our waiter was excellent however and even wrote down a complete children's menu. The food was good and a good value. Service by him was excellent and he was very attentive. I will go back hopefully the hostess will be better like the waiter. I recommend it highly for the food and service.

I had the sweetest and most pristine waitress! LIZ was so kind and fast with everything, with patience for my kids Liz made my night out with them so easy (and fun for them!). She has excellent customer service skills, great timing and an exceptional personality — you wouldn’t want anyone else. we need more Liz’ in the food industry for sure!

I got the veggie plate. The food was good. I learned that they put butter on their steamed veggies. I am trying to go dairy free. They told me to next time order the skinny steamed veggies with no butter. The food was good and filled me up. I wish they had a baked sweet potato on the menu.

It was a little confusing understanding the pickup process, but my order experience was awesome. However, my order was not exactly correct; I was missing a couple of things. I called back and was directed to the manager who offered to make it right by mailing us a gift certificate. During this time of pandemic we all have to be tolerant and patient. I appreciated the chance to MAKEUP for the error. Thanks 😊

This is the slowest Restaurant ! I placed a call in order for one entree (quesadillas) at 3:45 over the phone and was told the order would be ready in 20-30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at 4:15p and called them to let them know I had arrived. By 4:30p still no food so I called again to remind them I was outside on the parking lot. Then I had to wait another 10 minutes. Got home with my food and it was cold and hard, so I’m sure it had been prepared earlier and was just sitting on the counter but no one took the time to bring it to my car. Terrible Customer Service!

Elizabeth is the best by far she makes the to go orders on time and correct. When she is not there the service is poor as a bunch of people just sit around not willing to help. She is always going above and beyond to help in any way she can, she is a true pleasure to deal with

The food was decent but the service was horrible frome the wait staff up to management the overall experience unpleasant and extremely unprofessional. In short I would not recommend that anyone eat there unless they don't care how they're treated

Cotton Patch is the best comfort food cafe. Menu has a good variety of entrees to choose from and also includes a gluten free menu. I was with a large group. I ordered the salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, and skinny steamed veggies. It was scrumptious. The server was friendly and very efficient. My friends and I enjoyed the entire experience.

Elizabeth is absolutely amazing! To Go is so fast and easy when she is there. The downside when she isn't there it is super slow not managed the same and your lucky to get your order in a reasonable time frame. I plan my take out around her schedule she is that awesome. I wish more employees cared the way she did!

Never had a bad experience here. We only go every month or two since dining out with our young children is not as pleasant. I have ordered the sirloin steak a few times and was surprised at how good it was, and so reasonably priced. The tortilla soup is also very good. My parents live in Ohio and we’ve taken them to Cotton Patch for the full Texan comfort food experience.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of Elizabeth the to go waiter. She is so awesome. She is polite, kind, fast, gives correct orders. And if it the order is going to take a while she let's you know the exact time. I think she needs to be a manager because she is the ONLY ONE who cares about the to go orders. Everyone else just works by you without asking if you need help. The other waiters stand in a group just talking. I just want to say thank you Elizabeth for the outstanding job and your amazing spirit. God bless.

favorite restaurant in Waxahachie. Came here this weekend for dinner with my sister and had a great time as usual. We split a country-fried-steak and had a delicious dessert. no complaints. Our waitress was very sweet and fast.

Very disappointed. The young waiter acted like we was disturbing him and had to set my glass on edge of table and waited awhile to have it refilled. The chicken fried steak was sad and small 1/3rd of it was breading and asked the waiter about it and all there steaks are measured and then beaded after the cooked and walked off. When he would finally check on us he would walk up to table and stand there staring at us without saying anything. And he kept questioning that my son wanted all you can eat fish and they brought it out with 3 small pieces of fish.

This was my first visit and it was wonderful. Our waitress Michelle was attentive and fun. She went far beyond "just a server." She went out of her way to make our dinner special. She brought us things to go with our order just because she liked the combo. She even gave us to go drinks since we still had a drive ahead of us.

Sat for over an hour waiting on food that was wrong, salad came late, no refills, no napkins... a couple that was sat down before us wasn't even helped (not even drinks) until we finished eating. Spent 2 hours in a slow dining area, a whole maybe 8-9 tables occupied, a seemingly overstaffed kitchen in view but somehow takes forever to get food out, let alone correctly.

My boyfriend and I come here often, it's a beautiful restaurant with quality service. Just recently we went and our server (Gabbie) was attentive and sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed and didn't interrupt us as we prayed for our food. The food is always delicious and well cooked as well.

I ordered our food at 5:00 PM. The girl said it would be ready by 6:00 /6:30pm. I go to pick it up it's not ready. Them I'm told it would be another 45 minutes. I left. You should tell somebody that their food will be ready and it's not when you go to pick it up. I wasnt satisfied at all.

I went in on Monday and my server was the best one I have ever had! Breanna J had all my drinks filled without asking, brought food out fast and correct and was so outgoing and friendly. I’ll be asking for her every time!

Just left Cotton Patch without eating. They stated they no longer served fried mushrooms, so we passed on appetizers. Went to order my favorite if "Trailblazers" was again told it was no longer on the menu since it was uograded. Waitress said they did have a chopped steak but it was only served until 3pm. We offered to pay fir our tea and left. This has been my husband's and I favorite, guess we will look farther.

Bre J is the best server in Ellis County!! We just ate there and she was fantastic. On top of our refills. Food was perfect and fast. Never had to ask for anything. Super friendly and always smiling!

All the food was under portion the blacken fish was to salty the fries were just bad we paid 75$ and for that price the shrimp was not separated we were very happy the first time we ate their so we came back to feed my family. Ppl check your food before you leave is all I have to say this was just sad and business sabotaging just horrible
